Yesterday Deadline reports that EP Julie Plec plans to spinoff The Vampire Diaries with a backdoor pilot that will air on April 25th. If this episode is well received then possibly the CW Network will pick up a new series for the 2013-2014 television series. The series will be titled The Originals and will star Joseph Morgan (Klaus) and Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley). No news yet what other Originals may appear on the new series, but here's hoping we get to see more of Daniel Gillies' Elijah.
