Check out the stills for "1912" which will air March 15th. Thanks to KsiteTV for the heads up! (Full gallery here) Highlight to reveal synopsis!
THE MURDER MYSTERY DEEPENS — The present-day murders in Mystic Falls remind Damon (Ian Somerhalder) of a similar crime spree a century earlier. In flashbacks to 1912, Damon recalls a beautiful vampire, Sage (guest star Cassidy Freeman), who showed him a whole new way to exist. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) warns Damon not to get involved in her investigation, but Damon is convinced she’s going after the wrong suspect. Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Matt (Zach Roerig) resort to breaking and entering in their search for evidence to prove Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto) is a murderer. For reasons known only to her, Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt), becomes interested in locating one of the town’s oldest landmarks. Finally, Elena comes to a new understanding of the path her life has taken, and Damon makes an emotional confession to Stefan (Paul Wesley).

"Be careful what you wish for." - The Vampire Diaries Episode (3x15) Recap
OK, kiddos, I'm back in full form this week, and so was The Vampire Diaries.
Previously on The Vampire Diaries...
- Esther lost her Mother-of-the-Year Award.
- Elena breaks hearts.
- Stefan runs from pain.
- Klaus gave Caroline a pony.
- Dresses get ripped.
"Why do you look like someone just shot a polar bear?"
Everyone seems to still be reeling from the previous night's festivities, traumas, and tears. Elena gives Stefan a call to talk about their porch convo, but he's dodging her. Then, she calls Damon. He answers, and tells her that he was too busy to answer the 10 calls she gave him. Elena looks confused. Damon looks smug. Rebekah looks sleepy.
"If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing out of it will be your teeth."
After some playful ribbing of who'll crack and place a late-night booty call first, Damon and Bex are greeted by confused Elena. With both Salvatores ignoring her, Elena decided to pay them a visit. She's not too happy to see Damon boned Rebekah. Bex is, though.
What was funny (besides Damon & Bex's bantering) was how Elena figured Damon had been compelled. She really thinks her sh*t don't stink, don't she? Anywho, the boys told her to get over her guilt, and in a show of solidarity told her to let sleeping Originals die.
Rebekah ends her walk of shame to find herself the butt of her brothers' jokes. She didn't seem to appreciate Kol calling her a strumpet. Loved how Klaus was amused by Bex's annoyance. I for sure thought he'd be the one giving her the most grief.
"It's not working. I can hear every word about Damon, the Vampire Gigolo."
Bonnie, Caroline, and Elena try to recreate the privacy spell Esther performed at the ball. No avail. The only thing the girls did accomplish is listening to Elena bitch about Damon's wandering...eye. Bonnie revealed that Esther wants to hook-up with her and Abby. Caroline thinks Elena needs to let the Originals die for the greater good.
"One thing I've learned in my time on this Earth: Be careful what you wish for."

Elijah didn't believe Elena when she said Esther only wanted to apologize for trying to kill her. After he finds the burnt sage, he questions Rebekah about her thoughts on their mother's return, but her belief in Esther isn't enough to squelch his doubts. After taking Elena out to the woods, Elijah traps Elena in a cave. Apparently the change in her heart beat revealed her lies.
"I'm surprised you've had time to call her with all the original sex you've been having."
Once the boys discover that Elena has gone missing (again), they try to track her down. Alaric just figures she is ignoring Damon's calls since she's upset with him having a new "special friend." Besides, Alaric is too busy on a date with Meredith.
Apparently after all the tests she performed on him, Merry can't find any clues who "killed" Ric. Their date was short-lived, though, because it gets crashed by Klaus and Kol. The boys have decided to hit the town, and Kol wants to hit Merry. *wink wink*
"Just to be clear, I'm too smart to be seduced by you."
After Elijah strong arms the SalBros to kill the Bennett Witches in exchange for Elena's life, the boys decide to concoct their own plan. Damon sends Caroline in as a distraction for Klaus so they can dagger Kol. They figure it'll be a win-win situation. With the OGs down Elena can escape Bex, and they won't have to kill Bonnie & Abby. It all goes pretty well until Klaus realizes his sibs are in danger. Elijah shows up, fills the boys in on their mom's shenanigans, and the tables turn.
Still not wanting to kill the witches, Damon and Stef come up with a Plan B. Instead of killing them, the boys flip a coin on who'll be the bad guy. Damon turns Abby, and the spell goes kablooey. Esther disappears, Abby is in transition, and Elena is saved. YAY?
"Where the hell is everyone?"

After Esther and Finn are gone, the other Originals disperse. Rebekah decides to stay with Klaus since he's the only one that's always been there for him. She informs Klaus that she saw a painting in the caves that show the White Oak tree had returned 300 years after they burnt it to the ground. Their deaths still are possible.
Elena tries to comfort Bonnie, but Caroline turns her away. Even though they love her, everything they've lost has been because of her. Have the PowerPuff Girls broken up?
Stefan asks Damon why he took care of Abby when Stefan was the one who lost the coin toss. Damon reveals that he's noticed Stef is no longer on people blood, and figured the guilt he was already dealing with was enough. Besides, after failing to win Elena from Stefan he figures it's better for everyone if he goes back to being the Bad Brother.
I love how this time around Damon has decided to choose his baby bro over a chick. He knows Elena's heart will always belong to Stefan, and isn't willing to lose the only person who's been by his side for nearly 200 years. Our boy has finally grown up.
Alaric was injured during Operation Kill Originals, and convalesced at Meredith's. Unfortunately, when he woke up in the middle of the night he found the Mystic Falls Slasher Dagger hidden in her kitchen. Too bad she caught him snooping, and shot him. I guess she was the crazy killer after all.
Questions, Comments, Wonderings...
- Esther needed a full moon to perform the ritual, and the Bennetts' power. Also, the spell would've made the OGs human so they could be killed. They didn't necessarily have to die die.
- Why was Bonnie burning candles on her bed?
- Nice season 1 nod to have Damon testing Stefan by leaving a glass of blood after a conversation.
- Elijah is a sharp dresser. Probably the best dressed man on the show.
- 9:07 Elena was supposed to die.
- Klaus: "Say another word, and I'll tear out your liver."
- Klaus: "Isn't she stunning?" Kol: "She certainly looks good walking away from you."
- Damn, Klaus is sprung!
- Alaric calling Meredith a slob was bad dating etiquette.
- Meredith: "Rest. Stefan and Damon are going to take care of Elena. I'm going to take care of you."
- Elena: "Are you insane?" Rebekah: "I prefer spontaneous. Maybe that's why Damon likes me so much."
- Rebekah: "Here's what's going to happen. You're going to come outside, or you're going to stay in there and burn."
- Tweet of the Day: @NaughtiaRules - "Well don't piss off an Original that hasn't had a period in centuries."
- Klaus: "Enough! All this talk is boring me."
- Esther: "If you've come to plead for your life, sorry, you've wasted your time."
- Thank you for acknowledging (finally) that Bonnie always gets the short end of the stick!
- Now Elena has Elijah leaving her love notes. Aww....
- Elijah: "Mother made us vampires, but she didn't make us monsters. We did that to ourselves."
There won't be a new episode of The Vampire Diaries until March 15th. Boo! What did you like most about "All My Children?" Next time we'll discover just how Damon Salvatore became the man we love (to hate) in the 3rd flashback of the season, "1912." A woman from his past schools him on the best ways to use women, turning Damon from the soft-spoken troublemaker he used to be, and into a Vampire Gigolo.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Preview "All My Children" (Video with/New Scenes)
Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder preview tomorrow night's episode titled "All My Children".
Daniel Gillies Interview with TV Line: “They’re now bonded in potential death. It’s going to be pretty terrifying.”

So much so that, if there’s one thing the usually moral vampire knows, it’s that now “[Esther] needs to be taken out,” continues the actor. Easier said than done, with a sorceress that powerful! But the Michaelson brothers – Elijah, Klaus, Kol and Finn – and sis Rebekah might be able to get the upper hand on Mom if they join forces. “When a collective of people know they could potentially die, it makes them powerful,” explains Gillies.
SPOILER: When is Alaric going to do something other than drink and flirt with Meredith on The Vampire Diaries?
TV Guide had some info on what's to come with Alaric in the second half of the season. Click here for more spoilers. Highlight to reveal!
To be fair, Alaric has lost both his wife and girlfriend to the blood-suckers, so we'll give him a pass on the nascent alcoholism. But we'll soon learn more about his vampire-hunting days, which may help us to figure out why Elena trusts him so blindly. "A lot more of his past will be revealed," Matt Davis says. "Things that he's been struggling with will be purged and come into clarity for him."

E!Online Spoiler Chat: Who's Going to Meet Their Maker in Mystic Falls?
In the most recent addition of E!Online Spoiler Chat, Julie Plec says that some characters will meet their maker before season's end. Any guesses? Leave them in the comment section.
MandyLee: How about something juicy on The Vampire Diaries?!
How about the fact that people are totes gonna die? This is the scoop executive producer Julie Plec drops our way: "There's definitely going to be some jeopardy by season's end. Certainly, many of our characters are going to come face-to-face with their maker at some point before the season is over. The question of whether they meet and shake the hand and get dragged away with their maker is a whole other question." So it sounds like some deaths might not stick? And others will?

Nina Dobrev Attends New York Fashion Week
Nina Dobrev was in New York this weekend to attend Fashion Week. The designers were debuting their Fall 2012 collections, and Nina had the opportunity to attend several events. New York Magazine also gave her the title of Nicest Celebrity, because they had the opportunity to observe her during the Monique Lhuillier show (click here to read their article). Also in attendance this weekend was Nina's co-star Torrey Devitto. Thanks to @JessiVanessi and @xLuvDamonx for the heads up!

If Loving You is Wrong, I Don't Want to be Right - Episode (3x14) Recap
*This week's recap will be a tad different, because I was too enthralled with all the pretty to take good note. Enjoy!
Preciously on The Vampire Diaries...
- Elena cries over Stefan.
- Damon wants what he can't have.
- Klaus plays musical coffins.
Matt and Elena leave the hospital after visiting Alaric? I don't know. I was too shocked that Matt had some real screen time to pay attention to the actual conversation. After Elena tries to leave, she hits something. Then this happens...
![]() |

Elena gets an invite to Esther' ball, and the boys fight over who gets to go in Elena's place. Esther has asked to speak with Elena, and The Boys are afraid Elena is the main course. It could be dangerous for a Human Hybrid Maker in a den of Vamps? Who knew?
While the mailman is working overtime, the OG gang gets ready.

Source: Salvatores
Tyler finally calls Caroline to let her know that he's alright, and offer condolences. Still trying to break his Sire Bond with Klaus. After Caroline listens to her voice mail, she gets a surprise from Klaus. A party invite, and a beautiful ball gown. Esther had prodded him to invite someone, so of course he picks his latest object of affection.
While Caroline and Elena discuss the evening's festivities, Rebekah makes her move on Matt. She decides to take him to the ball. Caroline isn't pleased. Despite having told The Boys that she wasn't going, Elena asks Care if she'll be her date. When will the guys learn that Elena doesn't like to be told what to do?
A Dance with Death
So after the boys arrive at the party, they see this:

Then the Originals invited the guests:
Then everyone did this:
After the dance, Elena tries to steal away to meet Esther but knows Damon won't let her so she asks Stefan for help. Stefan does the most shocking, awesome thing ever. He breaks his big bro's neck. Y'all know I love me some Damon, but honestly sometimes that boy just needs his butt whipped.
No one was happy about this. Not even Elena, but she didn't stop him.

Any who, Elijah doesn't trust his mom's attitude of forgive and forget, so he asks Elena if she'll fill him in on what Ester says to her. Cliff Note's version:
- Esther not only wants to kill Klaus, but all of her children.
- A drop of Elena's blood can be used in a spell to bind all the children together so Elena can Kill Klaus by staking one of the others.
- Esther is not a vamp, but basically a zombie.
- The Bennetts are decendent to Ayana, the OG witch.
Bex reveals to Kol that the only reason she invited Matt was to kill him. If she can't kill Elena, then she'll hurt her the best way possible. By killing someone she loves. Luckily, Matt is a sweetheart, and it saves his life.
![]() |

After Esther prepares the spell, she puts Elena's blood in the champagne for the toast. Once all the OG kids drink, they'll be vulnerable. They do. Including this guy:
![]() |
| Courtesy of The Salvatores |
Klaus continues to try and woo Caroline, but she's not having it. Her heart still belongs to Ty. Caroline tells Klaus off in the best way, and I was afraid he would hurt her, but he doesn't. Throwing her bracelet at him, Caroline leaves.
After Bex tells Kol to leave Matt alone, he gets angry and decides to take care of Matt himself. Damon wakes from his forced slumber, and argues with Stefan. Stefan basically apologizes, but says that Damon's feeling for Elena are blinding him. After he leaves, Damon finds runs into Elena who tells him his love is a liability.

Source: The Vampire Diaries
Then Damon sees Kol breaking Matt's hand, and does this:
![]() |
| Courtesy of I Promise You Delena |
Then he beats the ever-living daylights out of Kol which is reminiscent of season 1 Damon. Hip hip hooray! Since everyone is pissed off, Damon leaves. In fact, this kind of puts a damper on the whole evening. Stefan takes Elena home, and they have the best talk ever!
Source: weyov6
Esther and Finn (who's in on the mass murder plan) finish the spell binding everyone together. I guess Finn hates being a vampire as much as his father.
Rebekah goes to the Grill to apologize to Matt, but his hand is broken, he has no health care, and is not in a forging mood. This whole night proves he isn't ready for a supernatural girlfriend. Since Damon is already boozing it up, he serves Bex a shot. Then this happens:

Questions, Comments, Concerns:
- Rebekah: "You're pathetic. The both of you."
- Rebekah: "Careful, Caroline. It's all well and good before she stabs you in the back."
- Klaus: "Good evening!" Caroline: "I need a drink."
- Klaus: "You're a wonderful dancer." Caroline: "Well, I've had training. I'm Miss Mystic Falls." Klaus: "I know"
- Elena: :When we were together you used to let me make my own decisions. You trusted me. With everything that's happened, at least that hasn't changed."
- Stefan: "So Ester wants to kill her whole family. There goes the Mother of the Year award."
- Stefan: "I can't. If I let myself care, all I feel is pain."
That's all folks for this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries. No worries! I'll be back to my regular recap style next week once I can think straight. Episode 15 is titled, "All My Children," and from the promo it seems Elena's guilt gets the best of her, and leads her into danger. *facepalm* Check out the Short and Canadian Promos.
