Laura Prudom (@LauinLA) from AOL TV spoke to Candice Accola, Kat Graham, and Steven R. McQueen during a promotional stop in London. They didn't reveal too much to Laura, but did give away a very important date! Kat says that the tentative start date for season 3 is Sept 8th. That means it's time to put up the countdown widget on sidebar. Read the full interview here.
"You can't hold the writers accountable for that; we were told on day one that the content of the show requires characters to die -- that's just the way the cookie crumbles," she shrugged. "It really comes down to what's going on in the writer's room, that creative pot that they just churn and churn -- I'm a huge fan. I love the show 'Dexter,' which takes away a lot of main characters, and I think it's very important to keep that kind of aspect to a show where you really genuinely don't know what's going to happen next. I first learned about Canvas Warriors when I attended EyeCon in Atlanta this past March. I saw their beautifully hand painted Chucks on display and was blown away! Artist Sandira Reddy who works tirelessly on this gems made a pair for Ian Somerhalder and Michael Trevino. The cast attended Insurgence 3 in Birmingham this past weekend. Sandira was able to hand Michael his Tyler made Chucks (watch video below). Once the shoes (pictured above) have been signed by all the cast they will be auctioned off for charity. Visit their website, Facebook, and follow on Twitter for more info.

BloodyNightCon (Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, and Candice Accola) held in Barcelona, Spain will kick off this weekend. Here's the official schedule. If you're going make sure to drop us a line on Twitter. We'd love to share your experience with others.
Vicki will tend to "unfinished business with my brother, my boyfriend, my ex boyfriend, with so many people," says Ewell. "I'm coming back with a vengeance. It's going to get crazy."
Nina Dobrev tells the magazine that "Now that Stefan is gone Elena will want what she can't have and she'll miss him and wonder if he's ok, and I think it will make their relationship stronger."

The lovely duo Red and Vee at Vampire-Diaries.net have brought back one of my favorite Vampire Diaries' hiatus reads. Their guest posts feature bloggers who have a passion for TVD and love to speculate and delve into the characters that we love to hate or vice versa. First up is fellow blogger Abby Graham who is a staffer at The Salvatore Boarding House. She tackles the very complicated and layered character, Klaus. Check out a snippet below and read the entire post on their website.
In terms of his character and personality, Klaus is smart, and he’s organized. He’s also a tease, very playful. He winks, he nods, he flashes those dimples and, as long as everything is going his way, he’s all smiles. Let even one small thing go slightly awry, however, and the eyes narrow, the dimples vanish and suddenly someone is screaming with pain. Klaus shows every evidence of being a bona fide sadist, a person who gets his kicks from hurting other people. It doesn’t have to be physical pain, either. He enjoys getting his hands dirty and hurting people directly (that was clear when he stabbed Stefan) but I think what Klaus really likes is making people suffer without ever having to rise from his chair. He knew perfectly well that Katherine wasn’t on vervain when he “compelled” her to stand in the sunlight, and I’ll argue all day that he took far more pleasure in watching her force herself to submit to his will when she didn’t really have to than he did in just watching her burn.
We can – and will – speculate all summer about the Original family, what their dynamics were and what will happen when they wake up, but ultimately, they aren’t the stars of this show. That means that there is going to have to be some connection between the Originals and our main cast. To do anything else doesn’t make much sense, because the Originals would have no logical reason to want all these young kids tagging along when they eventually wake up and go after Klaus. There has to be more to it than that, and whatever the connection turns out to be, I believe that Stefan will be the linchpin of that story. That’s why Klaus took him, and that’s why we need to see where Klaus takes him before he can go home to Mystic Falls.
