
RISING STAR KATERINA GRAHAM GIVES A PERSONAL TOUR OF LOS ANGLES
Katerina Graham, the twenty year old actress of The Vampire Diaries, lives with a self-motivating, self-inspiring career perspective that has put her center-stage as one of Hollywood’s most promising actresses, making her an enviable individual and pushing her into attention-worthy territory. The product of a Liberian father and Russian-Jewish mother, the multi-talented Katerina, born in Switzerland and raised in Los Angeles, speaks an admirable four languages. She bounced into the entertainment industry at the age of six with an exotic flair and a zest for performing, building a long list of talents and garnering an impressive resume that boasts dancing, singing, music producing, and acting. Her past repertoire includes background dancing for Missy Elliott, Pharrell, and Jamie Foxx, as well as serving as an original Fanta girl for the Coca Cola international campaign of the Fanta soft drink. She is currently filming Boogie Town, a modern-day take on West Side Story, and The Roommate with Leighton Meester, as well as the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, in which she plays the psychic teen, Boonie Bennett. Where did you grow up?
In the heart of Hollywood
Is there a favorite underground spot in Los Angeles you love to escape to?
I love the 8 oz Burger Bar on Melrose! I get the "Melrose" with a PB&J shake.
Where in L.A. do you go to relax and clear your head?
Lake Shrine in the Pacific Palisades is very relaxing. I try to go often.
What is your favorite L.A. spot to shop?
Jet Rag! I love the clothes and they're cheap!
Name a few of your favorite clubs?
Gay clubs are THE best clubs. My favorites are Rage, and Here!
What is your favorite restaurant?
I love kitchen 24 for late night eats. I'm also a sucker for The Cheesecake Factory at The Grove.
What place in the city have you found to be the most fun?
I love the beach, any beach, just take me there! I also love skateboarding on the Hollywood strip!
What does a perfect, Los Angeles day consist of for you?
6am wake up, work work work, studio or set, yummy lunch, work work work, a movie at the Grove and then to the gay clubs for some fun dancing with friends!
What are some of your favorite neighborhoods in the city?
West Hollywood!
Is there something unique about the people of Los Angeles that you love and consider difficult to find elsewhere?
The people in LA have an appreciation for Hollywood. A lot of actors and musician are here so it's a very creative town and a lot of the people behave that way. I love being around fellow artists!
In four words, what has Los Angeles offered you that no other city you've lived in has?
LA IS MY HOME.
