One thing is clear, we're not the only ones that realize how good TVD really is. All these Best of 2009 lists are reputable and well-know media outlets from TV Guide to New York Post. People are finally realizing what Kevin Williamson said at Comic Con, that when you really start to delve into the books and TV series, it's very different from Twilight. Thanks to all the critics who love the show and look forward to it every Thursday just like the fans! Below is what PopWrap had to say about our favorite show:
9. "The Vampire Diaries"
Scoff if you must, but "Vampire Diaries" haters are synonymous with the uninitiated. To know this show is to love it, and to write it off as a "Twilight" knock-off is a huge mistake. If Edward or Bella ever said anything as astute or acerbic as Stefan or Elena, I would die of shock. And with Damon, Ian Somerhalder has breathed dead life one of the most devious, diabolical and delicious villains in decades. Scenes (and costumes) like this one don't hurt either.- PopWrap
